The National Register of Historic Places is a database that compiles a list of properties that meet the legal requirements to be considered for inclusion in the register. These include buildings, districts, objects, sites, and districts that are listed on the National Register. Also included are districts. The National Register of Historic Places is managed by the National Park System, but the individual listings themselves are managed by the National Park Service.
